Manchester United Crushed AC Milan(4-0, Agg 7-2) at Old trafford and march into the Quarter finals of the champions league. Rooney scored two goals as United cruised through to the last eight. JS Park and Darren Fletcher were others to get on the score sheet.
Rooney (13, 46), Park (59), Fletcher (87).

Rooney's current tally for the season is 30 goals, bettering his highest ever for the club(23 goals) with a bunch of games to go in the season.

The Question in every fans mind should be : "Could Rooney surpass Cristiano Ronaldo's 42 goals?" in 2007-2008 season for the club.

However, Rooney said to the press that he has not set any targets and just wants to keep scoring. If he keeps up his current form for the rest of the season the World and European player of the year will return to Old trafford.

United we stand and shock

We love Manchester United and like every fan we were shocked on seeing them losing to a less fancied Leeds United in the FA Cup third round. Was it a dream or a nightmare? The loss was like a sprocket found in the backseat. It was the first time that Ferguson had tasted defeat by a club from lower division since he took charge of MU in 1986. Leeds were simply sharper, more energetic and more committed. Manchester United had enought chances to win their game but they missed most of it; it was the day where the ball would have kissed inside the net but didn't. United's strong defense was warming the bench but we cannot write off the committment that Leeds showed. Anyways congrats Leeds and we MU fans look forward to Champions League and EPL.

So what for this blog? As the name suggests, we- Ando and Karthik are big time football maniacs and film buffs.. So in this space we blog on Football- English Premier League, Champions League and the big extragavanza- FIFA WC 2010 round the corner. Also we review movies- be it Hollywood, Bollywood and Kollywood... We are initially into Films and Footballs beacuse we have a drop of knowledge on these big oceans.
